On May 12 and 13, a host of wineries from northern Greece to Crete in the south, are opening their gates to the public -as part of the "Open Gates Programme" launched on the initiative of the European Network of Wine Cities.
Already in its ninth edition, the initiative aims at offering visitors a unique opportunity to feel the intoxicating aromas and flavours of Greek vineyards, taste wines and local cuisine, get acquainted with the natural beauty of a specific area and participate in the parallel events and competitions that take place.
