The Hellenic Chefs’ Club (HCC), the German-Hellenic Business Association (DHW) and the German Hotels and Restaurants Association have agreed to establish a Greek Cuisine quality seal.

The Greek Mediterranean Cuisine Seal will be awarded to tourism and dining venues, as well as events that comply with the terms and conditions required and following HCC’s approval of their menu.

Under the agreement, HCC will open a new branch in Germany, headquartered in the DHW offices in Cologne.

The agreement also provides the opportunity for German culinary schools graduates to specialize in Greek Mediterranean Cuisine at the Gastronomy and Hotel Studies Center Les Chefs, run by the Hellenic Chefs’ Club.

The agreement was signed during the HORECA 2012 food industry exhibition in February, 2012 by Member of European Parliament and DHW president Giorgos Chatzimarkakis, and HCC president Miltos Karoumpas.
