An original presentation featuring poems by Constantine Cavafy set to music by Greek and foreign composers will be presented in European and American universities, starting in April.

The project is an initiative of University of Michigan Professor and Head of the Cavafy Chair for Modern Greek Studies Vassileios Lambropoulos, renowned mezzo-soprano Alexandra Gravas and distinguished young pianist Pantelis Polychronidis.

The Program includes songs by Greek, American, and French composers, some well known and some never performed before and is sponsored by the Onassis Foundation in New York.

It is scheduled to premiere on April 16 at the University of Michigan, to be followed by presentations at Indiana University, Columbia University, Brown University, Yale University and at the School of Music , University of Iowa.
