The Onassis Cultural Foundation is hosting Borderline Music Festival 2012, on April 7-8, in an effort to explore contemporary electronic music and renegotiate the distinguishing line between noise and music.

Participating artists are inspired by digital and new media pivoting around improvisation and experimentation practices where music blends in with the human voice. Erdem Helvacioglu will be revisiting his brand album Farewell Istanbul, Trevor Wishart, is staging as solo performance with electro-acoustic sounds and Spunk, the female improvisation band from icy Norway create free form melodies alluding to jazz and electronic.
