Newly-appointed Development, Competitive and Shipping Minister Anna Diamantopoulou met yesterday with the Head of the European Task Force for Greece, Horst Reichenbach and discussed projects related to the regeneration of the Athens centre and the absorption of National Strategic Reference Framework funds (NSRF) under a strict timetable.

In particular, concerning the latter, they examined the progress made in 180 high-priority projects as well as liquidity issues for Small and Medium Sized Businesses (SMEs) and reviewed the financing of national motorways with the participation of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Commission.

Other topics in their agenda included the adoption of legislation aimed at overcoming impediments to entrepreneurship, technical assistance provided by the OECD concerning public projects and the simplification of procedures towards export facilitation (single window for exports). Alternate Finance Minister Filippos Sahinidis also met with Horst Reichenbach.
