The Department of Planning and Regional Development of the University of Thessaly and the Initiative "Imagine the City" are organising IDEA/TOPOS 2012, the 1st Pan-Hellenic Place Marketing and Branding Conference in Volos from March 30 to April 1.
Academics, creatives, public and private stakeholders will participate in an interdisciplinary dialogue pivoting around 10 focal themes, such as Place Marketing for urban and regional development, City and Nation branding and Cultural Planning. The conference also features exhibitions, workshops, debates and urban interventions in an attempt to develop a cluster where knowledge, experience and ideas are exchanged with the aim of achieving urban regeneration and regional development.
