Greece will be the guest country at this year’s Cairo International Children’s Film Festival, which opens on March 23. Celebrated criminology professor and children's books author, Dr. Eugene Trivizas will be the guest of honour at the festival, while the Greek tribute features 11 of the best Greek films for children of the last few years.
These will include The Boy and the Tree by Panagiotis Reppas and Eugene Trivizas, The Game Must Go On by Angeli Andrikopoulou and Argyris Tsepelikas and The Village by Stelios Polychronakis. The tribute is held in collaboration with the Greek Film Center. The festival, already in its 21st edition, will feature 30 films in its competition section, 30 short- documentary and educational films and 55 cartoon films from around the world.
