Continuing a tradition that started in the 80s, a group of German pupils visit Greece every summer as guests of the town of Distomo (Central Greece), which, in 1944, became the locus of one of the biggest massacres of unarmed civilians during WWII.
The initiative of exchange visits between the two countries belongs to the Evangelical Church of Nuremberg in cooperation with the town of Distomo.
