  • Lectures on Crisis
Professor Leszek Balcerowicz, former Deputy Prime Minister of Poland, is holding two lectures in Athens on September 23.

The first, organized by the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) is titled How to prevent another global financial crisis and will be commented on by Nikos Christodoulakis, Professor at the Athens University of Economics and Business and former Minister of Economy and Finance of Greece.

The second is held by the Konstantinos Karamanlis Institute for Democracy and is titled Crisis in the Eurozone: Problems and Solutions. Both lectures are co-organized by the Polish Embassy in Athens.

  • 3rd Greek-Arab Economic Forum 
The Arab - Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Development along with the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises are co-organizing the 3rd Greek - Arab Economic Forum, starting on September 23, in Kavouri (Attiki Greater Area) Greece.

The three-day forum will focus on "Fostering Business Alliance to Tap Emerging Opportunities" in various fields such as green economy, renewable sources of energy, construction and tourism.

 The President of the Hellenic Republic Karolos Papoulias has been invited to inaugurate the opening ceremony whereas Prime Minister George Papandreou will address the Arab and the Greek business communities as a key note speaker.
