The 5th Annual Greek Roadshow (AGR) is being held at Bloomberg's headquarters in London on September 9-10. The Roadshow – which is organised by the Hellenic Exchanges - is a two - day event, aiming at keeping international investors up-to-date with Greek market developments.
Twenty five Greek listed companies participate in this year’s event and there have been over 700 one-on-one meetings, which, according to the Chairman of the Athens Exchange, Spyros Capralos, indicate that there is growing interest in the Greek stock market.
A pivotal event, on the first day, titled Greece on the road to recovery, involved presentations by Greek officials. Prof. George Zanias (Chairman, Council of Economic Advisors), expounded on the macro-economic situation in Greece praising the reforms that have been undertaken over the past 8 months.
George Christodoulakis (Special Secretary for Asset Restructuring and Privatisation at the Finance Ministry) presented the government’s plans for privatisations, while Petros Christodoulou (General Director of the Public Debt Management Agency - PDMA) referred to the government’s borrowing programme.
