Trizonia is a miniscule gem of an island, the only one inhabited in the Corinthian Gulf. It belongs to the prefecture of Fokida, Central Greece and although it is an island, it’s just a 5 -minute boat ride off the coast of the village of Hania, on the mainland.
Trizonia is surrounded by a cluster of three even smaller, yet unpopulated islets of Aghios Ioannis, Planemi and Prasoudi. No cars and motors are allowed on this verdant paradise, rendering it the ideal destination for vacationers who seek scenic beauty combined with tranquillity.
Visitors can wander along the quaint, small port and choose one of the low key tavernas and cafes to enjoy a traditional meal and relax. Trizonia also sports a natural marina, perfect for docking boats and yachts.
The local port doubles as the perfect beach protected by strong winds, but the adventurous can always walk to the other side of the island and enjoy the windswept beaches and the crystal clear waters.
