The President of the newly-established Hellenic Statistics Authority (ELSTAT) as well as 3 members of the Board were approved by the Hellenic Parliament by a four-fifths majority, reads an announcement by the Ministry of Finance.

The Board includes Andreas Georgiou (President), Nikolaos Logothetis (Vice-President), Zoe Georganta, and Andreas Filippou. The job openings had been advertised extensively in Greece and abroad, and the candidates were evaluated according to criteria stipulated in the law establishing the Hellenic Statistics Authority.
