Renaissance of St Nicholas Church at Ground Zero
The Benaki Museum is hosting the "The renaissance of the church of St. Nicholas at Ground Zero" exhibition from September 24 to October 25. The show consists of sketches, drawings, plans, photographs and audiovisual material that present stages in the recreation of the St Nicholas Orthodox Church in New York.
The original church was completely destroyed during the collapse of the World Trade Center Tower 2 in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Designed by the famous Spanish architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava, the new St Nicholas church aims to become a spiritual beacon of hope and rebirth for the congregation and the city.

28th Film Tribute to Human Rights
The festival will take place from October 5 to 12, at the Cinema Museum-Thessaloniki Film Archive, with films focusing on the various issues promoted through the major campaigns of Amnesty International.
The programme includes selected screenings and discussions, where opportunities are offered to talk with the people who have researched extensively the issues tackled by the films shown.

ΦantastiCon aims to promote the Fantasy culture in all its artistic expressions: literature, cinema, theatre, music, games, including everything from fairy tales and legends to high fantasy, sci-fi and horror.
Visitors will be provided with a a wide range of entertaining events and participatory happenings: screenings, tournaments, seminars and workshops, performances, contests and lotteries. The programme includes a creative writing contest, a costume parade, a chainmail crafting workshop and more.

Athens Swing Cats and the Athens Concert Hall join forces to support the charity work of the non-profit organization "The Smile of the Child" and invite you to the annual charity swing festival Swing For Hope 2015, which will take place on October 3.Nine of the most renowned Greek swing bands will support this cause with a large concert reviving the golden age of swing.
