With the slogan "…to Infinity!", the 80th Thessaloniki International Fair opened its doors on September 5, and will run until September 13 with over 1,000 exhibitors from 13 countries at the city's centrally located International Exhibition Centre. A prestigious commercial event in the economic region of Balkans, the Black Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean, this year’s TIF aims to "promote innovations, extroversion initiatives and the continued effort to strengthen and reorganize the Greek economy and businesses".
A total of 14 thematic events are included in this year’s Fair, covering every aspect of domestic production and entrepreneurship, such as agri-nutrition, energy, construction and new technologies. It will also be complemented by a rich entertainment programme of concerts and various other events.
In his opening remarks, the President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos stressed that "the eurozone is the only path for Greece", warning that this path must remain unchanged and non-negotiable.
