- Greek Film Archive @ Cinéma du Réel, Pompidou Festival
The large collection will be presented at the festival through a selection of key films made between 1924 and 2012. The sections of the tribute will include: Jewels from the Original Collection, Industry and Immigration in the 1960s, Politics, Public and Private Ways of Archiving.
The archive is the result of the activity of the Athens Cinematography Association that was established in 1950 by the Athens Association of Film Critics. Its historic, first screening took place on November 22, 1950 in the hall "Parnassus" with the film Le Corbeau (The Raven), by Henri Clouzot.
- Culture Week in Moscow
Celebrating ten years of life, the Greek Culture Center in Moscow is holding a Week of Greek Culture (March 19-25). The events will be held at the Meridian cultural venue and will focus on the historic landmarks in the relationship between the two countries. Painting and photo exhibitions, concerts, lectures, book presentations, theatrical performances, a poetry night and a Greek folklore dance show celebrating Greek Independence Day (March 25) are some of the events taking place during Culture Week.
