Director Yorgos Lanthimos has done it again. Only this time, he has gone international. In his English-language debut, the Oscar-nominated Lanthimos, together with co-author Efthymis Filippou set their characters in a dystopian near future, where lonely people are obliged to find a matching mate within a 45-day period in a hotel. If they fail, they are transformed into animals and sent off into the woods. In that setting, one man escapes and finds love, despite the rules of the City.

The film stars Colin Farrell, Rachel Weisz, Ben Whishaw, Olivia Colman, Léa Seydoux and John C. Reilly and will premiere on March 24 in the United States. The script has been awarded the ARTE International Prize, at the 42nd International Film Festival of Rotterdam for the Best CineMart 2013 Project. His last film - The Alps (2011) - won the "Osella for best screenplay" at the 2011 Venice film festival and best film at the Sydney film festival in 2012.
