  • 3D Printing: An exhibition from the future… now
3-D printing of everything from houses to hearts and pretty much all you can imagine, is the coming revolution. Not only for the industry, but in culture, as means of expression too. In the first major exhibition in Greece dedicated entirely to this amazing technology, more than 100 pieces by luminaries of Art, Architecture, Fashion, Science, and Product design combine to hint at the transformed commercial, public and private spheres of tomorrow. At the Onassis Cultural Centre, until January 31. Guided tours for groups over 10 people are provided.
  • George Kakoulidis @ Michael Cacoyannis Foundation
The exhibition Visions by poet, writer and painter George Kakoulidis (Athens, 1956) is opening at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation on January 9. Inspired by the verse from the medieval cretan poem Erotokritos “this is not just a dream, but a vision” the artist presents his work; painting in addition to poetry or in tandem with it. As he puts it “painting helps me get along with people.” His poetry was set to music by Thanos Mikroutsikos, Nikos Kypourgos, Stamos Semsis. He is the recipient of the 1994 International Cavafy Prize (Alexandria, Egypt).
