The magnificence of the music of Versailles, especially, the "Te Deum motets," composed by the two leading composers of Louis XIV’s court, Jean-Baptiste Lully, and Marc-Antoine Charpentier will be performed by the Camerata-Armonia Atenea, at the Onassis Cultural Centre, on December 23. Joined by a cast of outstanding soloists and by the Athens City Choir, the Camerata will perform  two of the most beautiful religious works in the French baroque repertoire,  It should be noted that Charpentier’s Te Deum (1692) was chosen in 1954 to accompany the Europe-wide broadcasts of the Eurovision Song Contest!

Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker will be restaged during the festive Christmas period by the National Opera Ballet. This lovely Christmas tale, with Tchaikovsky's famous music will be premiered on December 20. Renato Zanella's dreamy choreography as well as the sets and costumes from the Vienna State Opera will transport the audience to the world of fairy tales. In the production of the GNO Ballet, the choreography focuses on the dream of Clara which, through love and fear, proves to be a dramatic transition into adulthood.

The Gazarte Live Stage will celebrate Christmas Eve with the project "From Broadway to Hollywood."Efstathios Drakos (Minor Project) with the shiny Katerine Duska will give us a unique evening with the most famous jazz and pop melodies, as well as Christmas songs. Artists-legends such as Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald meet with modern performers like Michael Bublé, the Robbie Williams and Amy Winehouse on a magical journey! Meanwhile, the table will be laid at Gazarte’s Cocktail-Restaurant, with haute cuisine and specific aspects of Mediterranean cuisine.

Celebrating Thessaloniki as the European Youth Capital 2014,the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Greece (SONE) and the Unplugged Studio Company Production will hold a Christmas concert at the Vellideio Convention Centre, on December 21. Vangelis Arabatzi will be conducting. Entrance will be free.
