Screening of Maria Iliou’s documentary "The Journey: The Greek American Dream" will be held tonight, at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre (SNFCC).

The documentary deals with the migration of Greeks to America from 1890 to 1980; the director filmed in Greece and America, with people who have experienced migration themselves and followed research based on unknown archival material. The documentary expresses the hopes, the fears and the quests inherent in the passage from one continent to another, the passage from one way of life to another.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with Maria Iliou. Admission at the SNFCC is free of charge.
