One of the world's newest and largest cruise ships is docking at the seaport of Piraeus today.
The "Regal Princess," measures 330 meters, was built in Italy, weighs 142,714 tons, has a 50-member crew and its 18 decks feature 1,780 staterooms that can accommodate 3,560 passengers.

The "Regal Princess," on an inaugural cruise of the Greek islands, embarked on its maiden voyage on May 16. The cruise ship's captain Edward Perrin will be welcomed by chairman & CEO Yiorgos Anomeritis of the Piraeus Port Authority, during a formal event on June 23.
- Athens Hotels: Highest Occupancy Increase
Hotels in the city of Athens enjoyed the highest increase in terms of average occupancy rate in April on a European level - in year-on-year comparisons- according to the latest STR Global report (22.05).The continent’s hotels showed that the Greek capital’s rate rose 17.3% reaching a total of 64.9%.
Moreover, foreign tourism arrivals posted an impressive 26.1% increase in March, reaching 457,000, according to figures from the Bank of Greece.
