Founded in 1955, the celebrated Athens and Epidaurus Festival opens its gates from June 1 to August 18, with a rich artistic programme, including 27 Greek productions in Athens and Epidaurus signed by new aspiring directors.

This year’s edition will feature international theatre, music and visual art performances as well as parallel events in various venues in Athens and Epidaurus. Part of the festival’s appeal lies in the fact that performances are staged in some of Greece’s best preserved theatres, such as the Great Theatre of Epidaurus, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus - known as the "Herodeon," the Athens Concert Hall, the Museum of Cycladic Art and many more!
