  • European Parliament Elections
The European elections of May 22-25, 2014 give voters the chance to influence the future political course of the European Union when they elect the 751 Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) – 21 from Greece - to represent their interests for the next five years.

The Euro elections are still, to a large extent, organised according to national legislations and traditions. In particular, according to Greek legislation, all EU nationals who are over 18 and have registered on the electoral roll of a municipality or local authority in Greece have the right to vote, provided they have not lost their voting rights.

In addition, all EU citizens over 25 years who have the right to vote are eligible. It is noted that Greeks residing temporarily or permanently in a Member State vote a day before the polling day in Greece.

Watch the European elections live, see results and follow every step of the election night online on the European Parliament’s website, on Sunday, 25 May 2014. In a live interactive event, the results, collected from all member states, will be presented in open data format.

  • Runoff Regional & Municipal Elections
As the first round of local and regional elections in Greece ended last week (May 18) with no single party securing enough support to declare a decisive victory, the second and final round takes place on Sunday, May 25, which coincides with Europe-wide election for the European Parliament. Voters will elect representatives to Greece's restructured local authorities, comprising 13 regions and 325 municipalities.
