Dionisis Kavallieratos @ Bernier/Eliades Gallery

Dionisis Kavallieratos presents his work at Bernier/Eliades gallery from November 22.

Kavallieratos, who lives and works in Berlin, belongs to a new generation of pop culture enthusiasts whose work reveals underground obsessions.

His surreal sculptures which look like oversized, awkwardly distorted gadgets, reflect on mass culture, male stereotypes and violence.

Create an Accident is an open, ongoing platform about the performing and visual arts and theoretical research, based in Athens.

On November 25, visual artist Rooster explores the genesis and transformation of myths, as part of the Myth PhD (play hence destroy) action.

  • William Kentridge @ Onassis Cultural Centre
William Kentridge, the leading South African visual artist and director is staging the chamber opera Refuse the Hour, at the Onassis Cultural Centre, from November 22 to 25.

Kentridge delves in subjects such as apartheid, colonialism, and totalitarianism, while his work is often imbued with dreamy and lyrical undertones.

  • Wim Mertens @ Hellenic Cosmos
Belgian minimalist composer Wim Mertens is back in Athens on November 26, in Theatron at the Hellenic Cosmos.

Mertens will perform his famous works accompanied by his trio.

The Nutcracker @ National Opera

Tchaikovsky’s legendary ballet The Nutcracker, one of the most beautiful Christmas stories, will be staged at the National Opera, from November 24.

The new choreography by Renato Zanella, focuses on Clara’s dream, a dramatic coming of age through love and fear.

  • Three Sopranos in my Tea
The Three Sopranos in my Tea.. the refill, will take place at Gazarte on November 25 and December 2.

Sopranos Katia Paschou, Maira Milolidaki and Myrsini Margariti will sing famous opera arias, musical numbers and jazz songs.
