The annual conference of the European Forum of Renewable Energy Sources (EUFORES) inter-parliamentary meeting is this year taking place at the Hellenic Parliament on November 23-24.

The EUFORES inter-parliamentary meeting is a gathering of the most active parliamentarians in Europe in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency and is held every year in the parliament of a different EU member state.

It is also attended by officials of national governments, the European Commission and selected representatives from the areas of industry and science.

Titled Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency - Ways out of the economic crisis!, the 12th Inter-Parliamentary meeting, will focus on several topics: renewable energy sources projects as a way out of the economic crisis; the role of structural funds in supporting local RES development; the EU Renewables Directive and the evaluation of the implementation of member states´ renewable energy policies in relation to the 20% renewable energy target by 2020.
