Education Minister Constantinos Arvanitopoulos attended a UNESCO Global Education for All (EFA) meeting held in Paris from November 21 to 23.

The meeting aimed at exploring new strategies to address EFA challenges and to seek commitments towards and beyond 2015, the target date set for achieving the six Education For All goals established by over 160 nations in 2000.

While in Paris, Arvanitopoulos met with UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova, as well as with his French counterpart Vincent Peillon and Geneviève Fioraso, Minister for Higher Education and Research, with talks focusing on education reforms in Greece and France.
