Amazing Athens is a new tourist guide, especially designed for smart phones and tablets that will soon be available for people who visit the Greek capital and want smart and comprehensive guidance on their phones.
The initiative was presented by Tourism minister Olga Kefalogianni, during a special event, at the Acropolis Museum, on November 28.
The new application is the result of collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Centre for Hellenic Studies at Simon Frazer University of Vancouver, which designed the application and offered technical support.
Distinguished Greek director Costas Gavras allowed the use of his archives for the artistic support of the project. Amazing Athens will initially become available in English, and later in Chinese, Russian and Spanish.
