The 1st Greek Investment Forum takes place in New York on October 9-11, under the title Greece under Reform: Creating Growth-Revealing Opportunities. The event is co-organised by the Athens Exchange and the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce.

The forum’s objective is to highlight the business opportunities in Greece today, in order to attract large institutional investors, mainly from the United States. Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni and Deputy Minister of Development Notis Mitarachis will participate in the event, along with many CEOs, chairmen and directors of eminent Greek and multinational enterprises.

Kefalogianni will deliver a speech on the thematic module "Tourism, a Major Pillar for Growth" in order to promote Greece both as an investment-friendly economy and a major tourist destination. She will also meet with investors, tourist agents and members of the Greek-American community, with the aim of presenting the country’s comparative advantages in the business field.
