The 2nd Greek – Russian Real Estate Forum took place at the Eugenides Foundation on October 23-24, organised by the Greek – Russian Chamber of Commerce.The event was attended by representatives of major Russian and Greek real estate agencies. The decline in property values and a record of unsold properties in the Greek market were among the issues extensively discussed at the forum.
The increased interest of Russian buyers to invest in holiday homes around the country with the most popular areas being Halkidiki, Skiathos, Corfu and Crete was also raised. Outlining the profile and preferences of Russian investors in the real estate sector, the head of the Russian Real Estate Agencies Federation, Anna Lupashko, stressed that special emphasis is placed on Greece's mild weather conditions.
