Greek Shipping has for long maintained global leadership in the international shipping industry. For over a century and a half, Greeks have carved an extremely creative course in world shipping, serving international seaborne trade with quality and consistency.

"The Greek Shipping Miracle" (2014), by George M. Foustanos, which chronicles the establishment and evolution of the Greek Merchant Marine from 1873 until today, has now been followed up with a companion piece, a pioneering online museum showcasing Greeks’ timeless commitment towards the sea and their extremely creative course in world shipping.

The project aims to show through rare photos and historical documents the marvelous journey of the Greeks in the international shipping arena over the last 150 years, as well as to serve as a model of willpower and creativity for young people, who dream of a world where the achievements of one person have a positive impact on the lives of many. "For only then, will the Greek Shipping Miracle fulfill the vision behind its creation", the founder of the project, G. M Foustanos, notes in his welcome message.
