Since April 2015, the Berlin-based independent newspaper project FactCheck Hellas has been discussing developments in Greece, in an effort to show solidarity with the people in Greece in times of crisis. The project, financed by its readers, included a Greek edition as a supplement to the Greek daily Efimerida ton Syntakton, as well as online editions in four other languages (English, French, Spanish, Italian).

Now, FactCheck Hellas organizes this weekend a conference in Berlin, Greece and Us, in an effort to "give a voice to different positions, approaches and experiences" on the issue of solidarity with the people in Greece, with regard to the current refugee crisis, the newest developments in the country and the euro-crisis.

Participants include activist and writer, Tariq Ali, journalist and correspondent to Germany, Nikos Chilas (To Vima), writer Giorgos Chondros, Sebastian Gerhardt (FactCheck Hellas / Lunapark21), Margarita Tsomou (Missy Magazin / Tageszeitung), as well as producer of Balkan Express documentary, Vasilis Tsartsanis.
