INMUTE Festival

For the third year, the InMute Festival proposes yet another series of unique encounters and dialogues between sound and the moving image, in a three-day programme, whose main elements are improvisation, live performance and the interplay between analogue and digital, the arranged and the accidental.

English avant-garde filmmaker Greg Pope and the American film experimentalist Paul Clipson will be presenting live 16mm films, especially prepared for projections with live music, while Greek artists will present their own approach to the topic "sound and the moving image".

The artistic programme will be accompanied by additional activities, including workshops, lectures and a children’s workshop-presentation. The festival will take place on October 30 to November 1 at the Onassis Cultural Center

The Marriage of Figaro at the Athens Concert Hall

The Athens Concert Hall presents the performance "The Marriage of Figaro" directed by Stathis Livathinos for a second season from October 30 to November 29.

"The Marriage of Figaro" is one of the most fascinating theatrical texts of the 18th century written on the eve of the French Revolution, of which it is considered a forerunner.

The characters fight for a glimpse of happiness, while human weaknesses, class boundaries, financial need and clashing personal interests push the characters away from their goal.
