Microsoft YouthSpark was initiated in 2012 as a global initiative, creating opportunities for 300 million youth by 2015. Through 30+ programs and partnerships, the initiative has created new prospects for more than 227 million young people in over 100 countries around the world. The ten winners from this year’s Challenge for Change come from Greece, Chile, Equador, India, Nepal, Nigeria, USA and Uruguay.

Nefeli Stefopoulou was awarded for her Project LINC, a Collaborative Project on Water Shortage in Africa. "I supported the cause of raising awareness about the water issue in Africa.

As a result of the innovative project, LifeStraw water filter partnered with us and offered four LifeStraw Community filters. This will provide clean water for 300 children for two schools in Kenya."
