  • European Music Day
Celebrating European Music Day, on June 21, the Athens State Orchestra and the Polyphonica Children Choir will perform in the garden of the Athens Concert Hall, offering to the music-loving public a feast of good music. The event will culminate in a surprise party with live music. Upon the completion of its sixth anniversary and on the occasion of European Music Day, the Acropolis Museum will host a concert by the Philharmonic Wind Orchestra and the Choir of the Athens Municipality with melodies from the interwar period, cinema and Greek operetta.
  • Athens Open Air Film Festival
The Athens Open Air Film Festival will be held for the 5th year with more than 20 screenings in the most prominent neighborhoods of Athens. From June to September, historical sites and gorgeous corners in Athens are transformed into open-air movie theatres with free entrance. Among these are the  Dionysiou Areopagitou pedestrian district, Petralona Park, Plato's Academy Park, Avdi Square, Drakopoulou Villa and some of the most beautiful museums in Athens such as the Numismatic Museum, the Byzantine & Christian Museum and the National Archaeological Museum. The premiere will be held at one of the most impressive archaeological sites, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, on June 17.
  • Stavros Niarchos Park Open Days
The Stavros Niarchos Park opens its doors to the public for the first time. The Light up the Night event will be held at the Park, from June 21 to 24, featuring music, photography, architecture, sports, environment, creative workshops, all-night video art screenings and many more. This four-day event seeks to reflect the multi-faceted programme of activities, which will take place at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center upon its opening, inviting visitors to a sneak preview of the future. Admission is free.

  • Visual Arts @ Santorini Arts Factory
The Santorini Arts Factory is hosting a number of visual arts exhibitions, running until September 20: Project Removement uses mixed media so as to interpret the motion and/or alteration of a land and in-situ lighting installation Τime Slots by Stella Bolonaki; solo exhibitions by Yorgos Maraziotis and Zilvinas Kempinas; and the collaborative installation De-touch.
