The Lupimaris - Wolves of the Sea project captures the lifestyle, tradition and maritime adventures of the last fishermen of Paros island as witnessed by Austrian photographer Christian Stemper.

Since 2010, Stemper has photographed 99 Boats and 31 fishermen, offering a historical account of a dying craft, and in 2014 he and his crew began filming in Paros, gathering interviews and photographic material to be used for the LUPIMARIS book and a video documentary.

"They're a special kind of human… For them, it's just the boat and the sea and the fish. Nothing else." said Christian Stemper talking to the CNN, adding that his fishermen still have an enviable view of the world. They are happy because they have their boats and they have the sea.
