An international conference on Migration Management and International Organizations in the 20th century will be held by the National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF) and the University of the Peloponnese (School of Social & Pol. Sciences) in Athens, on April 23-25.

Effective migration management involves inter-state cooperation as well as collaboration with non-state agencies. It is within this context that the EU adopted a Global approach to migration. The conference seeks to assess past international regulation efforts, as well as to contribute to a better understanding of perceptions of migration management with a focus on the role of international organizations. The event will be held as part of the research project A History of the Establishment of the International Organization for Migration by the MiMIO Research programme.
