The organic honey produced by the Dimakopoulos family, Axion Esti, deriving from the black fir tree of Menalo mountain in the Peloponnese - the only Greek fir honey with Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) - was awarded twice at international honey competitions (BIOLMIEL), distinguished as first among 250 entries.

Axion Esti is light-coloured and evokes something between caramel and vanilla. This type of honey is produced by certain microorganisms on the trunk of the black fir. It is rich in taste and low in sugars, which makes it perfect for a Greek- style breakfast or honey sweet recipes. Greek honey is globally recognised for its nutritious and therapeutic qualities, as well as its unique aroma.
