Athens is among the 20 capitals selected for European Best Destination 2015, an event organized by the European organization "European Best Destinations" for the 6th year. People are invited to vote on-line and choose their favourite European destination until February 10. European Best Destinations is a travel organization based in Brussels and developed to promote culture and tourism in Europe. Speaking to an audience of e-citizens, European Best Destinations plays an important role in promoting Europe as the number one destination in the world.
