Exotica, Erotica, Etc, the first long feature film by Evangelia Kranioti was recently screened (15.2) in the experimental Forum section of the 65th Berlinale (5-15.02.2015).

The director has lived with prostitutes in various harbor towns in 16 countries and has created a film whose "impressive images and haunting soundtrack merge into a maritime symphony, a narrative of freedom, longing, love, and desire."

Through the eyes of Sandy, an eccentric former prostitute, the film depicts the ocean as a place of yearning, of the world of giant container ships and their crews, and the women that wait for them in ports and taverns.
