Over 350 companies participated in networking events with Trans Adriatic Pipeline’s main potential contractors on January 21 - 22. In an effort to bring together potential business partners and inform them on the opportunities in constructing the Trans Adriatic Pipeline and the procurement process to be followed, the company facilitated two supplier networking events Thessaloniki and Alexandroupolis.
The two sessions provided a platform between tenderers and potential subcontractors as well as suppliers interested in providing specialist support services, such as materials supply, logistics, facility management, security, catering, and more.
The events were organised in cooperation with the Federation of Industries of Northern Greece (FING) and with the assistance of more than 30 commercial-industrial and technical chambers of the area. TAP will transport natural gas from the giant Shah Deniz II field in Azerbaijan to Europe. The approximately 870 km long pipeline will connect with the Trans Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP) near the Turkish-Greek border at Kipoi, cross Greece and Albania and the Adriatic Sea, before coming ashore in Southern Italy.
