- Anniversary of the Ionian Islands Accession to Greece
On the occasion of the 150th Anniversary of the Accession of the
Ionian Islands to the Modern Greek State, the
Mantzaros Philharmonic Society will perform emblematic works of the Greek classical repertoire, at the
Athens Concert Hall, on November 22. Works by N. Mantzaros, Sp. Samaras, Sp. Xyndas, N. Labelet, P. Carrer, G. Kouroupos, Sp. Mavropoulosand many more will be performed.
Kronos Quartet, one of the most celebrated and influential groups of our time, will perform at the
Gazarte Live Stage tonight (11.20). Since its founding in 1973, the Kronos Quartet has become the foremost ambassador of contemporary chamber music, successful at breaking down barriers between musical genres and between musicians and audiences. David Harrington, the ensemble's founder and first violinist and the other members have kept the spirit of
fearless exploration and a commitment to continually re-imagining the string quartet experience.

Theophilos Hatzimichael, in which Tériade contributed decisively.
