Following the inauguration of the Greek stand, Kefalogianni presented the new communication strategy to attract more visitors to Greece. "Our new communication strategy is based on the Greek gods and ancient heroes that we have all read about since our childhood and have all known since our school years…" According to the minister, well known contemporary activities such as harvesting, entertainment, sports, learning and arts are inspired and correspond to a Greek god, a Greek hero, a myth or a historical event.

Political stability and renewed trust in Greece are giving the Greek tourism industry a boost, said Secretary General of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) Panos Livadas at the WTM.He told a press conference that there have been positive results in the last two years in terms of arrivals and revenue as result of political stability and trust in Greece. "2014 has been a year to remember. 2014 has been a year of new, all time records for Greece,” Mr. Livadas said. Greece is expected to record over 22 million foreign tourist arrivals (including cruise passengers) this year, and €14 billion of revenue.
