Government Vice-President and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos addressed a Capital + Vision conference on "Innovation and entrepreneurship: the next step" on October 31, which was co-hosted by the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce. He spoke about the need for a climate of stability, trust and optimism in order for entrepreneurship to develop. "The business community must take a risk, must undertake an initiative for major investments on all levels. I’m not just talking about major and ambitious investments, but also ongoing ones. This means that it will have to contribute to the creation of new jobs."

He noted that in order to establish this climate, all the creative powers of the country should be motivated. He added "this is the war of our generation" which started five years ago and "now we can end it and move to a new phase of peace and of claiming our new role."
