A new opinion poll conducted by international market UK research firm, YouGov, has shown that 37 % of Britons think that the Parthenon Marbles should be returned to Greece, against 23% who argue that they should be kept in the British Museum.

In addition, 36% say one of the best arguments for returning the sculptures is that they “are one work of art, and they should be reunited along with the rest of the Parthenon sculptures in Greece.” Another popular argument for the repatriation of the Marbles (34%) is that the sculptures belong in Greece due to their importance as a part of Greek cultural heritage.
