On the occasion of the Greece’s chairmanship at the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Centre for Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Monuments in Thessaloniki, will inaugurate an exhibition titled "Medieval Ports in the Maritime Routes of the East: North Aegean, Black Sea, Caspian Sea" (Athens City Museum, October 16 – December 10).

The exhibition is the result of the OLKAS project, a joint venture aiming at documenting and promoting 45 medieval harbours as a means to boost cultural tourism in the regions of the Aegean, Black and Caspian Sea. The project is run by eight institutions, museums and universities from six countries: Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine and Georgia.

The Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) is an international economic organisation for regional cooperation, the deepening of which can render the region a zone of development and investment interest.
