Greece is a participant at the 2014 AUSA Army Aviation Symposium & Exposition (October13-15). Held every October in Washington, D.C., the AUSA annual meeting is the largest land-power exhibition and professional development forum in North America. On October 13, Alternate Minister of Defence, Fofi Gennimata, inaugurated the Greek pavilion. The Greek delegation is represented by four Greek companies and is organised by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and is supported by the Ministry of Defence, Enterprise Greece and the Hellenic Aerospace & Defence Industries Group.

On October 9, Defence Minister Defence Dimitris Avramopoulos and Alternate Minister Fofi Gennimata attended the signing of Strategic Cooperation Agreements by the Hellenic Defense Systems (HDS) with global security and aerospace company Lockheed Martin and Germany’s defence Group Rheinmetall to jointly produce weapons and ammunition, some to be used in the Greek army and others to be exported.
