- Be there! @ Corfu
Be there! Corfu Animation Festival continues in its fourth edition, on Corfu Island, from October 16-19 and aspires to be a new and fresh meeting point for animation artists from all over the world. Devoted to issues of identity: politics, gender identity and multicultural identity, this year’s festival features 165 films from 35 countries. The imaginative official poster of the festival is designed by the Iranian artist Hanieh Shojaee. Be there!

- Ghika – Fermor – Craxton @ Benaki Museum
The exhibition Ghika – Fermor – Craxton: 3 places, 3 creators will be held at the Benaki Museum from October 17. Dedicated to the three creators, the English travel writer Sir Patrick Leigh-Fermor and painters N. H. Ghika and John Craxton, the exhibition focuses on the three houses-retreats, in Kardamyli, Hydra and Corfu, which became places of artistic inspiration and housed a friendship that lasted over 40 years. Letters, manuscripts, publications and photos are exhibited, along with drawings by N. H. Ghika and John Craxton.

- 27th Panorama of European Cinema
The 27th edition of the Panorama of European cinema, the longest running film festival of Athens, is opening on October 16th with the long -awaited British drama Queen & Country by John Boorman. This year, the Panorama will be featuring 70 European and international productions and many premieres in the festival’s competition section, like the Smell of Us by Larry Clark and Incompresa by Asia Argento.

- Bach’s Four Orchestral Suites @ Onassis Cultural Centre
The Camerata /Armonia Atenea, and its artistic director, George Petrou, will perform J.S. Bach’s four legendary Orchestral Suites at the Onassis Cultural Centre, on October 17. The celebrated suites, inspired by the grandeur of the French baroque dance suite come to life on the Camerata’s period instruments.
