The 3rd edition of the "Balkans and the Adriatic Oil & Gas Summit" is taking place in Athens from October 1 to 3. The event provides an overview of the fiscal and legal framework of the exploration and production of hydrocarbons, along with updates on current or future energy projects in the area.

It will offer a unique networking platform where delegates from different ministries will come to discuss changes in the legislation and where experts will come to showcase how their operations work in Balkans countries.

Addressing the summit, Environment Minister Yiannis Maniatis pointed out the need for regional cooperation in the sector of exploration, noting that positive news in one country can bring benefits to all the countries in the region. He also said that prospects in the region are from encouraging to extremely positive and attract the interest of small and big oil companies.
