The 7th London Greek Film Festival is opening its gates today, October 6, with a special screening of Michael Cacoyannis’ fiction feature film the Trojan Women (1971). Once again, the festival will offer a unique taste of Greece, with documentaries such as A trip to Delphi by Apostolia Papaioannou (2013) and the overwhelming Kalavryta-People and Shadows by Elias Giannakakis (2014).

This year’s edition - which runs through October 18 - will feature a short films section, documentaries, video arts & experimental films, a screenplay competition and workshops.

In addition, the festival will host Odysseus Awards Event dedicated to the Author's Odyssey, the journey to realize a film and publish the work.
