Main opposition SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras addressed the 79th Thessaloniki International Fair on September 13 and outlined SYRIZA’s "plan to reboot" the Greek economy.

SYRIZA’s plan encompasses four pillars and includes addressing the humanitarian crisis, rebooting the economy, encouraging employment and carrying out institutional reforms in the State. In particular, Tsipras pledged to raise the tax-free threshold to €12,000, replace the controversial ENFIA tax with a large real estate property tax (with a tax-free threshold of € 500,000), reinstate the Christmas bonus for pensioners receiving less that €700 euros a month, and restore minimum wage to €751.
