Greece supports a just and viable solution on the Cyprus issue based on resolutions by the United Nations Security Council and the European acquis, Foreign Ministry spokesman Konstantinos Koutras said yesterday (16.09). 

Responding to statements by Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu from the occupied part of Cyprus, Koutras said, "Within the framework of international law, Greece supports the Good Offices Mission of the UN Secretary General and all of the initiatives of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, aimed at achieving a just and viable solution to the Cyprus issue, based on the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and the European acquis."
